The history of Tequila Ocho begins with the Camarena family, who began making tequila in 1937 and are currently in their third generation as tequila producers. This family is one of the few that still make tequila slowly and by hand. With Camarenas, nothing is accelerated during the entire process, from the growth of the agave to the final distillation. All of the tequila made by the Camarena family is produced exclusively from agave from their own fields, something few growers can claim. As the production is small and very carefully made, the heart and passion of the Mexican soul of the Camarena family is in every drop of their tequila. The family only makes 100% agave tequila.
